Koffi Olomide both sentenced and acquitted

The Nanterre Criminal Court on Monday sentenced the Congolese singer to two years in prison suspended for "sexual abuse on minor" of less than 15 years, in this case one of his former dancers.

On February 11, the public prosecutor's office requested seven years' imprisonment for the singer, prosecuted for "sexual abuse with violence, coercion, threat or surprise by someone in authority" and for "sequestration" on four of his dancers. The complainants accused her of having imposed unconscious relations when the artist gave concerts or recorded in France.

At the same hearing, the singer was also acquitted of several charges against him according to an interview with his lawyer, granted to the media present on the scene "Mr. Koffi Olomide was released from almost all charges that have been formulated against him ... "

Koffi Olomide must pay two fines of 5.000 euros for facilitating the entry and illegal stay in France of the plaintiffs.
